Please read the following first before calling the rescue line:

If you are calling to inquire about a specific dog that is currently up for adoption,
please go to the Adopt tab and click on Adopt Me! Since dogs are fostered in personal homes located throughout IN, IL, St. Louis, and Wisconsin, the volunteers responding to voice mail messages will not be able to provide specific information about dogs

To learn more about our adoption process
, please go to the Adopt tab and click on Adoption Process. Volunteers responding to voice mail messages will direct you to the website for information about the adoption process and the adoption application. We will not consider families for adoption until the application process has been completed. You can begin the process by completing the adoption application. Since dogs are fostered in our private homes throughout Illinois, Indiana, St. Louis, and Wisconsin it is not possible to simply "come and meet them." We do not allow potential adopters to meet dogs until they have been approved to adopt. Our rescue dogs are our number one priority; therefore, we do not make exceptions to our policies. We reserve the right to refuse an applicant at any phase in the adoption application process.

If you are a shelter calling about a dog needing to be pulled or if your question still can't be answered with the information available on our website please call our rescue line @ 317.759.3647 and leave a detailed message including your name and number and a rescue volunteer will return your call within 24-48 hours.

PLEASE NOTE: leaving a multiple voice mail messages AND/OR emails will only delay or duplicate efforts. Please be patient as we are an all volunteer organization and most volunteers work full time jobs and have families as well.
